Our Pandanus coffins are made in Indonesia in only World Fair Trade Organisation accredited workshops, making a real difference to the lives of the local people. The pandanus coffins are made from the leaves of a prolific growing plant, a provider of a highly renewable and sustainable material. The dried leaves are being twisted into cord using traditional methods, then woven and coiled around a natural cane framework. Rattan is also woven into the coffins’ design to create a striking lightweight contrast against the silvery colour of the Pandanus.

The Bamboo eco2 is made using a combination of soft bamboo and bamboo bark hand woven, using traditional methods, around a modern solid interior construction. As the fastest growing plant on the planet, Bamboo is a highly sustainable and renewable material and one of the most environmentally friendly. The Bamboo eco2 is a new take on our traditional bamboo coffins featuring a more decorative weave, along with rope handles and discreet lid fixings for greater functionality, to create a sleeker more modern looking coffin.
