Scattering Ashes from a vintage wartime Tiger Moth

Vintage Biplane: Somerset, Dorset and beyond

Scattering Ashes from a vintage wartime Tiger Moth Up to 3 immaculate vintage wartime camouflaged Tiger Moths can carry out the ceremony with the family member releasing the ashes  from one Tiger Moth and up to 2 other family or friends flying alongside in formation. Scattering can be over land or sea. In the case of ex service personnel  (also open to non ex service ) they are also able to provide a “missing man flight”with up to 3 Tiger Moths Tiger Moth Training based on the Somerset /Dorset border are able to provide an ash scattering service anywhere in the UK. As the costs are calculated on a flying time basis it is possible to give a cost estimate when we know where the scattering is to be carried out. Example costings: 1 Tiger Moth for 1 hour flight time  £440 2 Tiger Moths for 2 hour flight time £880 3 Tiger Moth “missing man” formation; 30 mins. flight time £660 (ash scattering can also be carried out during the same flight) There are no additional costs involved. So to give you an example of costs. The plane is based near Blandford Forum in Somerset, the plane goes at 70mph so if you want scatter at Exeter which is about 70 miles from Blandford then the cost would be about £880 (2 hour trip).

Screen Printed Ceramic Comfort Pebbles
Handmade in Somerset these extremely tactile, hand decorated keepsake urns have a wondrous beauty, with a stunning design on both sides of the pebble each one is subtly different making it your very own unique memorial artwork. There are three designs that are symbolic:
  • Swallows – Coming home
  • Butterflies – Rebirth
Hand decorated. This technique of moulding and casting onto ceramic is both skilled and rare, the result is just fantastic. Many people keep their loved one’s ashes at home, some because they are not sure what to do with them, some because they are not yet ready to do something with them and some simply want to keep them close by, in the house. Sometimes, friends will give advice such as ‘it’s time to move on’ or ‘you’ll feel better if you scatter/bury them’. But only you will know how you feel about the loss of your loved one and only you will know when and if the time is right to do something, if ever, with their ashes. Until then these urns can keep the ashes safely and discreetly at home without you having to explain your reasons to anyone, if someone admires the beautiful urn then it is up to you whether you tell them or not.

Pandanus Traditional
Our Pandanus coffins are made in Indonesia in only World Fair Trade Organisation accredited workshops, making a real difference to the lives of the local people. The pandanus coffins are made from the leaves of a prolific growing plant, a provider of a highly renewable and sustainable material. The dried leaves are being twisted into cord using traditional methods, then woven and coiled around a natural cane framework. Rattan is also woven into the coffins’ design to create a striking lightweight contrast against the silvery colour of the Pandanus.
